At Poshfit, we are committed to delivering your custom-tailored garments safely, securely, and on time. This Shipping and Delivery Policy outlines our delivery process, timelines, and terms for getting your perfect-fit clothing to your doorstep.

This policy applies to all orders placed through our platform, whether via our website or mobile application.

1. Delivery Timelines

1.1 Standard Production and Delivery

Total Timeline: 7-10 Business Days

This includes both production time and delivery to your address from the date of order confirmation and payment.

1.2 Timeline Breakdown
Days 1-2: Order Processing

Order confirmation, measurement verification, fabric sourcing, and production preparation

Days 3-6: Production

Cutting, stitching, fitting, and quality checks by your selected Designer

Days 7-8: Quality Assurance

Final inspection, pressing, packaging, and handover to delivery partner

Days 9-10: Delivery

In-transit and doorstep delivery to your registered address

1.3 Extended Timelines

Certain orders may require additional time:

1.4 Rush Delivery

Need your garment sooner? We offer expedited production and delivery:

  • Express Delivery: 5-7 business days (₹500 additional charge)

  • Super Express: 3-5 business days (₹1,000 additional charge)

Availability: Rush delivery is subject to Designer availability and fabric sourcing feasibility. Not all orders can be expedited.

1.5 Factors Affecting Delivery Time

Actual delivery time may vary based on:

  • Design complexity and customization requirements

  • Fabric availability and sourcing time

  • Designer workload and capacity

  • Your location and accessibility

  • Weather conditions and unforeseen circumstances

  • Public holidays and festival seasons

2. Delivery Areas and Coverage

2.1 Current Service Areas

Phase 1 Launch: Kolkata

We currently deliver to all areas within Kolkata and surrounding regions:

  • Kolkata Municipal Corporation areas

  • Salt Lake City (Bidhannagar)

  • New Town

  • Rajarhat

  • Howrah (select areas)

  • Dum Dum and Airport vicinity

  • Barasat and nearby suburbs

2.2 Pin Code Verification

During order placement, you can verify if we deliver to your pin code. If your area is not yet serviceable, you can join our waitlist to be notified when we expand to your location.

2.3 Upcoming Expansion

We are planning to expand to additional cities:

Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune and more;

2.4 Remote and Difficult-to-Access Areas

For areas with limited accessibility:

  • Delivery may take 1-2 additional days

  • Additional delivery charges may apply (communicated before order confirmation)

  • Alternative pickup points may be arranged if direct delivery is not possible

3. Delivery Methods

3.1 Standard Doorstep Delivery

Our primary delivery method is doorstep delivery through:

  • Trusted courier and logistics partners

  • Poshfit delivery personnel (in select areas)

  • Designer hand-delivery (for premium orders or when requested)

3.2 Designer Hand Delivery

For certain orders, the Designer may personally deliver your garment:

  • Premium and luxury orders above ₹15,000

  • First-time customers (for fit verification)

  • Bridal and wedding wear

  • When specifically requested (subject to Designer availability)

Benefits: Immediate fit check, minor on-spot adjustments, styling consultation

3.4 Self-Pickup Option

You may choose to pick up your order from:

  • Designer's studio (if available and convenient)

  • Poshfit partner locations (coming soon)

This option eliminates delivery time and charges.

4. Delivery Charges

4.1 Standard Delivery

FREE DELIVERY on all orders within our standard service areas!

4.2 Additional Charges

Delivery charges may apply for:

  • Remote Areas: ₹500-₹1500 (depending on distance)

  • Rush Delivery: As per expedited service rates

  • Multiple Delivery Attempts: ₹400 per additional attempt (after 3 free attempts)

  • Address Change Post-Dispatch: ₹200-₹500 (depending on new location)

All additional charges will be clearly communicated before being applied to your order.

5. Order Tracking

5.1 Real-Time Status Updates

Track your order every step of the way through our app:

  • Order Confirmed: Payment received, production scheduled

  • In Production: Designer is crafting your garment

  • Quality Check: Final inspection and packaging

  • Dispatched: Order handed to delivery partner with tracking details

  • Out for Delivery: On the way to your address

  • Delivered: Successfully received by you

5.2 Tracking Notifications

Receive automatic updates via:

  • SMS alerts

  • Email notifications

  • WhatsApp updates (if opted in)

5.3 Estimated Delivery Date

You will receive an estimated delivery date (EDD) at the time of order confirmation. This date is calculated based on production time and logistics, but may vary by a few days due to unforeseen circumstances.

6. Delivery Process and Requirements

6.1 Pre-Delivery Communication

Before delivery, we will:

  • Send a notification 24 hours in advance

  • Provide a 2-4 hour delivery window on delivery day

  • Share delivery personnel contact details (when applicable)

  • Confirm your availability at the delivery address

6.2 Delivery Requirements

For successful delivery:

  • Availability: Someone must be present at the delivery address to receive the order

  • ID Verification: Valid ID may be requested for high-value orders

  • OTP/Signature: Delivery confirmation via OTP or signature

  • Package Inspection: You may inspect the package for visible damage before accepting

6.3 Delivery Attempts

Our delivery process:

  • 1st Attempt: Scheduled delivery date

  • 2nd Attempt: Next business day (if first attempt fails)

  • 3rd Attempt: Mutually convenient time within 2 days

After 3 Failed Attempts:

  • The order will be returned to the Designer

  • You must coordinate redelivery within 7 days

  • Redelivery charges of ₹100-₹200 will apply

  • If not claimed within 7 days, the order may be cancelled (refund subject to Terms and Conditions)

6.4 Reasons for Delivery Failure

Common reasons why deliveries fail:

  • Incorrect or incomplete address

  • Customer not available/not reachable

  • Premises locked or closed

  • Customer refused to accept delivery

  • Delivery restrictions in the building/society

7. Packaging and Quality Standards

7.1 Premium Packaging

Every Poshfit garment is packaged with care:

  • Garment bag for protection from dust and moisture

  • Branded Poshfit packaging box/bag

  • Tissue paper wrapping for delicate items

  • Secure outer packaging for transit safety

  • Tamper-evident seals

7.2 Quality Checks

Before dispatch, every garment undergoes:

  • Measurement accuracy verification

  • Stitching quality inspection

  • Fabric defect check

  • Finishing and pressing review

  • Accessory and button check (zippers, buttons, embellishments)

7.3 What's Included in Your Package
  • Your custom-tailored garment

  • Care instructions card

  • Invoice and order details

  • Feedback card (optional)

  • Designer's business card (for future orders)

  • Extra buttons/accessories (when applicable)

8. Receiving Your Order

8.1 Upon Delivery

When you receive your package:

  1. Inspect the Package: Check for any visible damage to the outer packaging

  2. Verify Order Details: Confirm the delivery is for your order

  3. Confirm Receipt: Provide OTP or signature to complete delivery

  4. Open and Inspect: Open the package within 24 hours and try on the garment

8.2 Damaged Package During Transit

If the package appears damaged:

  • Do not accept the delivery if damage is severe

  • Take photos of the damaged package

  • Report immediately through the app or customer support

  • We will arrange for a replacement or inspection

8.3 Wrong or Missing Items

If you receive the wrong item or something is missing:

  • Report within 24 hours of delivery

  • Provide photos of what you received

  • Do not use or alter the item

  • We will arrange for correction at no additional cost

9. Delivery Issues and Resolution

9.1 Delayed Delivery

If your order is delayed beyond the estimated delivery date:

  • Check tracking status in the app

  • Contact customer support for updates

  • We will investigate and provide a revised timeline

  • Significant delays may qualify for partial refund or compensation (evaluated case-by-case)

9.2 Lost in Transit

In rare cases where an order is lost during delivery:

  • We will conduct a thorough investigation with our logistics partner

  • If confirmed lost, we will offer:

    • Full refund, OR

    • Priority remake at no additional cost

  • Resolution timeline: 7-10 business days from report date

9.3 Address Change Requests
  • Before Dispatch: Free address change through app settings

  • After Dispatch: Contact customer support immediately; charges may apply (₹200-₹500)

  • In Transit: Address change may not be possible depending on courier location

10. International Shipping

10.1 Current Status

Poshfit currently does not offer international shipping. Our services are available only within India.

10.2 Future Plans

11. Holidays and Special Circumstances

11.1 Public Holidays

Delivery operations during public holidays:

  • National holidays: No delivery operations (orders resume next business day)

  • Regional festivals: Limited delivery in affected areas

  • Sundays: Delivery available in most areas

11.2 Festival Season

During peak festival seasons (Durga Puja, Diwali, Christmas, etc.):

  • Expect increased order volume and possible delays

  • We recommend placing orders 2-3 weeks in advance

  • Premium rush services may have limited availability

11.3 Force Majeure

Delivery may be affected by events beyond our control:

  • Natural disasters (floods, cyclones, earthquakes)

  • Extreme weather conditions

  • Government restrictions or lockdowns

  • Strikes or civil unrest

  • Pandemic-related restrictions

We will notify affected customers and work to minimize impact.

12. Environmental Commitment

  • Biodegradable tissue paper and fillers

12.2 Packaging Recycling

We encourage customers to:

  • Reuse Poshfit bags and boxes

  • Recycle cardboard packaging

  • Return garment bags during Designer visits for reuse

13. Customer Responsibilities

To ensure smooth delivery, customers should:

  • Provide Accurate Information: Complete and correct delivery address with landmarks

  • Be Reachable: Keep phone number active and respond to delivery calls

  • Be Available: Ensure someone is present during the delivery window

  • Inspect Promptly: Check the garment within 24 hours of delivery

  • Report Issues: Notify us immediately of any delivery or product issues

  • Follow Care Instructions: Properly care for your garment after delivery
